National Senior Cricket Tournaments
While working as the Karnataka representative for Sportsmechanics India Pvt. Ltd., a company that prides over digital and technological prowess in the field of cricket, I was tasked with reinventing the digital narrative of KSCA's senior Men's and Women's team tournaments. The project required an array of skills that included photography, videography, graphic design, social media management and a brief understanding of data analytics. It presented an opportunity to collaborate with several stakeholders like coaching staff, board members and international and local players.
Role
As a Digital Associate, I was the driving force behind shaping, producing, refining, and presenting KSCA's digital identity. My responsibilities spanned a gamut of functions, from devising impactful strategies to curating riveting content, all aligned with KSCA's ethos and objectives. Backed by the guidance of two seasoned mentors—one from KSCA and the other from Sportsmechanics—I was empowered to steer the digital narrative and elevate it to unprecedented heights.
I embraced this role not only as a professional commitment but also as a profound connection with my passion for sports and design. The amalgamation of creativity and technology, seasoned with the essence of sportsmanship, enticed me to craft an engrossing chronicle of KSCA's journey.
Working Process
The journey unfolded through meticulous steps, each orchestrated to foster a vibrant and engaging digital presence. First came strategy, as we aimed to inject fervor into local tournaments that often basked in the shadow of international contests. Interactive stories, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and comprehensive tournament insights were sculpted to heighten anticipation before the season's kick-off. On match days, a dual-pronged approach ensured timely posts—pre-game insights and post-game highlights—offering fans a holistic experience.
Content production demanded ingenuity. A symphony of raw materials, comprising player photoshoots and manager-provided footage, converged into an artistic masterpiece. Brand colors and patterns lent uniformity, while templates tailored for each match facet breathed life into the content. The real-time challenge of incorporating dynamic data—player swaps, weather-induced format changes—kept the design process electric, even amidst occasional content delays.
The crucible of editing was where precision met creativity. Ensuring data integrity in pre-match content and real-time adaptability for match-day narratives was an intricate dance. Balancing diverse color schemes for concurrent tournaments, coordinating geographically dispersed stakeholders, and assuming multiple roles—all converged to test my mettle.
